Sebastien Goasguen is the co-founder of TriggerMesh, a multicloud serverless management startup that offers a serverless event bus. He built his first compute cluster in the late 90's when they were still called Beowulf clusters, while working on his PhD, and has been working on making computing a utility ever since. Sebastien has done research in grid computing and high-performance computing and with the advent of virtualization moved to cloud computing in the mid-2000s. Since 2013 he has focused on containers and container orchestration, creating a Kubernetes startup Skippbox (acquired by Bitnami) where he instigated software like kompose, Cabin and kubeless. Previously Sebastien was the Vice President of the Apache CloudStack project and a cloud architect at Citrix. He is currently active in the serverless community and can be found hiking the Jura or at open source conferences. He is the author of the Docker Cookbook and co-author of the Kubernetes Cookbook.
