Louis Vernon is a Site Reliability Engineer at Descartes Labs, which leverages Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform to transform the way it derives insights from petabytes of geospatial data. Prior to Descartes Labs, Louis worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he co-led the Institutional Computing Application Performance Team. He spent the last decade tackling the challenge of scale, from tens of thousands of cores running Kubernetes on Google Cloud to millions of cores on the Department of Energy's flagship high-performance computers.
