Dawn Foster, Director of Open Source Community Strategy within VMware’s Open Source Program Office, has 20+ years of experience at companies like Intel and Puppet. She has expertise in community building, strategy, open source, and metrics. She is a Governing Board member and maintainer for the CHAOSS metrics project, a Steering Committee member for the TODO Group, and is on the board of OpenUK. Foster has a PhD, an MBA and a BS in Computer Science. In her spare time she enjoys reading science fiction, running, and traveling (in the before times).
