This session gets to the heart of how continuous delivery (CD) is helping to change society in a radical, productive way.
Today's automobiles are computers on wheels. They're wired up with software and Internet connections that go a long way toward enhancing the driving experience and making cars safer. All of this technology is great by itself, but what makes today's connected cars so useful is their ability to adapt and improve as they go along. CD makes this happen.
During this talk, Rafał Kowalksi, a cloud solution architect at software firm Grape Up, shows how to use Jenkins to build the CD pipelines that ship software wirelessly to a car in a consistent manner. His talk takes place on Wednesday, August 14, at 11:30 am.
DevSecOps : Balancing agility, stability, and security in a continuous software business
After cruising along for years at steady, consistent speeds, software delivery has entered the high-speed lane. DevOps, CD, and infrastructure as code have given development teams the horsepower to deploy and deliver software faster than ever. But faster deliveries lose all their value if the end results aren't secure.
The solution: Integrate security into the DevOps process to the point where it redefines the way you deliver software. This process, known as DevSecOps, puts a premium on securing facets of the delivery process from beginning to end.
In this talk, Ben Walding, CloudBees' director of engineering operations, discusses practical ways to manage security, performance, and delegation to engineering teams in fast-moving CD environments.

Blue is the new green
A blue-green deployment is a technique that reduces downtime and risk when pushing applications to production. One environment guides a live application; the other serves as a place to deploy and test before replacing the application.
Blue-green pipelines powered by automation give development teams the ability to experiment and get projects right. This session, by Sonatype DevSecOps evangelist DJ Schleen, spells out the best ways to create these parallel pipelines, operate them with precision, and guard against pipeline breaks. Schleen's presentation begins on Wednesday, August 14, at 10:30 am.
Application release orchestration: Why me? Why now?
Application release orchestration (ARO) is a popular topic these days, and ARO tools have become the de facto standard for developers and DevOps teams to manage, automate, and facilitate application release processes. Gartner tracks the category in a "Magic Quadrant," and many in the industry refer to ARO tools as the foundation for enterprise DevOps initiatives.
